• Spray application
  
  This project is now (as at June 2009) in the implementation phase ready for launching to the industry. There are field days planned where concentrate spray recommendations will be explained.

• Review of postharvest fungicides (Sustainable Farming Fund project)
  
  There will be a contribution to a project that takes reviews of postharvest fungicides over a wide range of crops, including avocados, to be reviewed as to the suitability of different postharvest fungicides for fruit.

• Climate change (Sustainable Farming Fund project)
  
  This is a new project that will look at what the avocado industry in the widest sense will need to do with regard to climate change and the compliance that may be imposed by the government and customers.

• Management strategies for Varroa bee mite (Sustainable Farming Fund project)
  
  This is a contribution to continue projects on maintaining a breeding population of Varroa resistant Queen Bees on Great Mercury Island and further evaluation of organic treatments for the control of Varroa bee mite in hives.
