Avocado Smoothie

This delicious and refreshing smoothie is a fantastic way to start your day!

Time: 5 mins Serves: 2 Difficulty: Easy

1/2 ripe avocado
1 banana
1 cup of trim milk
1 tablespoon of honey


Simply put all of the ingredients into blender and blend until smooth.

And although the original recipe doesn’t contain avocado my Nana being quite radical for her time (back in the 80’s) would sometimes add a scoop of avocado for an extra creamy texture. It was not unusual for this chilled soup to be served on a hot summer day, even featuring as a refreshing starter to Christmas lunch on a number of occasions. For a dairy-free soup omit the yogurt and add extra lemon to taste.
